Coming Home

Coming Home

"And he arose and came to his father.  But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him..." (Luke 15:20, ESV).

The story told by Jesus in Luke 15 of a son who came back home is one of the greatest stories of hope you will ever read.  It magnifies within our hearts the amazing love, mercy, and grace of God.  It takes us into the heart of God and helps us view through His eyes those among His children who wander away from Him.  It illuminates the terrible consequences that sin brings to our lives.  And it should stir the wandering child of God to "come to his/her senses" and to return back to their Father.

Whether you are a Christian or not — and if you are a Christian, whether or not you are currently walking with the Lord — there is something in this story for everyone.  We encourage you to click the link below to listen to this story presented by two of our former preachers, Terry Slack and Lee Wildman.  It will strengthen your faith.  It will make your love for God grow.  And if you're not walking with God, it will help you see why you should come back home to God.
